So as our flat got emptier and emptier, so the goodbyes began. It was a very emotional week and made me realise how settled I had become in Australia despite always feeling quite unsettled! We are going to miss everyone so much but are so thankful we had the chance to say a proper goodbye to almost everyone.
We spent our last night in Australia with all our favourite Aussies and adopted Aussies and had a lovely Thai meal followed by a few drinks in the Crowie. After some very random chats about biscuits until 2am, we spent our final night sleeping on our Thermarests and then spent our last morning scrubbing the house (muchos thanks to J and C, J and B!) and then of course had to have one last brunch!
After saying our final tearful farewells, we bimbled off to the station to head to the airport with our lives in backpacks once again - this time for a much shorter adventure in Hawaii and Canada. See ya later Australia!
